PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

General Description:

Valiant Energy Service, LLC seeks an experienced Project Accountant to manage project related financial transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Job setup and maintenance
• Create and manage contract change orders, purchase orders and subcontractor agreements in the accounting system
• Assist with the monthly contract and T&M billings
• Enter and manage job billing invoice in client’s system
• Weekly reporting and review of job progress
• Work with project managers and field personnel to ensure cost and revenue are accurate

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• 5-7 years of proven experience working as a Project Accountant for a Construction Company
• Thorough knowledge of construction job cost accounting and reporting
• Must have full working knowledge of WIP schedules
• Experience working for a Utility Electrical Contractor a plus
• Proficiency with Sage 300 (Timberline) and/or Viewpoint Accounting Systems a plus
• Strong knowledge of Excel required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be willing to travel between Allentown, PA and Branchburg, NJ offices
